Sharon M. Allen, 60, of Vermillion, SD died Tuesday, September 8 at the Prairie Estates Care Center in Elk Point, SD, after a battle with cancer.

     Sharon Krug was born August 23, 1949 in Regent, ND to John and Florence (Kouba) Krug.  She attended school in Regent, and graduated from Mott High School in Mott, ND.  She received her Bachelors Degree, her Masters, and her Doctorate from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, where she was currently a Sociology Professor.

     Sharon was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church and Altar Society in Vermillion.

     Survivors include her husband Tom of Vermillion, her father John Krug of Mott, two sons; Corey (Kristen Taylor) Thie, and Christopher (Dawn) Thie all of Sioux Falls, SD, and a sister Judy (Ray) Schiwal of Mott, and four grandchildren; Eden White, Addison, Caden and Aiden Thie.

     She was preceded in death be her mother Florence and a brother Curtis Krug.

     A memorial service will be 3:30 pm Monday, September 14 at the St. Lamberts Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, SD.
