Thomas A. Sanders, 64, of Yankton, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Irene.

     Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the Hansen Funeral Home in Irene.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery at Irene.  

     Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral service.

     Thomas was born March 13, 1945 to Howard and Almeda Sanders in Springdale, Arkansas.  At the age of 5 years, he moved to Missouri with his family.  Later he worked as a carpenter and a tree trimmer for many years.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Billy, David & Lewis.

     Survivors include three sons; Thomas Sanders Jr., Lanny (Dorie) Sanders, all of Terrell, TX, Tim (Terri) Sanders, Millbrook, AL, one daughter Tammy Salinas, Ft Worth, TX, eleven grandchildren & one great granddaughter, also three sisters; Shirley, Rosalie & Carolyn.
