I was so sorry to hear of John's death and I am sorry I couldn't attend his funeral. I understand how difficult it is when the Lord calls our loved ones home, yet he leaves us with wonderful memories in exchange. John was always such a kind man and as he was loved by many he will surely be missed by all.

Dear Arlene & family,
Our thoughts are with you and our memories are many. We first came to know your family upon arriving in Vermillion as a new partner of Tom & Bud's next door to Jack's office. It seemed handy to have a lawyer, not only next door but also one with a sense of humor. Over the years we became friends and always so enjoyed our visits. When we had our fire, he graciously gave us an office to use & always had an encouraging word. The stories are many & we hope some day to share more with all of you.
Be asured we will miss him also.

I can not begin to tell you how sad I am at hearing of Jack's passing----what a wonderful man he was----I have adored him all my life--ever since he was our swim team coach and he use to give us rides in his cool sports car and urge us to swim faster and do and be our best--his life was a gift to all of us---I will keep Jack and all of you, his dear family, in my prayers!!

Jack was my swim coach and my friend. I have so many wonderful memories of swim meets. Of course I remember early mornings in COLD water when I had some other thoughts as I swam those laps. But I loved my coach; he taught me a lot. I will treasure the last time I saw him when a few of our teammates gathered in Vermillion a couple of years ago; we hugged and laughed together for the last time.
